first and foremost, the connotation of "underrated" for this list is that if you asked the average weeb if they have seen this particular anime, 9 times out of 10 they probably don't know what you are talking about. if you would like to request an anime to be put in this list, please keep in mind that animes like darling in the franxxx or erased aren't considered underrated because at one point in time we have all heard it somewhere from someone at some point or another. there are some animes that are "well-known," but no one really talks about them which can, in this connotation, be considered underrated
